Murt’s Man Bait-Crockpot Pulled Pork Sammy’s

The Eagles made me depressed on Sunday. I don’t understand why every game has to come down to the wire. This game was against the Vikings, a team who would love to get revenge on us and they end up beating us in our own house by 2 points. It doesn’t change the fact that last season we beat them, then won the Super Bowl in their house, but it definitely doesn’t make us look AS amazing. Ugh. Get your shit together, BIRDS!

Anyway, when I’m sad I like to make quick meals. The crockpot is the type of concoction you can literally dump all your ingredients into, come back to it after work and BOOM, there’s dinner!

Who doesn’t love pulled pork sammy’s? If you don’t, you’re missing out! This week I have a super easy pulled pork sandwich recipe that will make your face messy and your taste buds smile! It’s also great for football Sunday because it’ll feed a lot of friends!

Recipe: Crockpot Pulled Pork Sammy’s

Pair With: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Rosè All Day

Ingredients:

  • 2 – 2.5 lbs. boneless pork loin
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 16 oz. bottle BBQ sauce (I like Sweet Baby Rays)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Potato rolls

Directions (there’s only 4):

  1. Add all ingredients to the slow cooker.
  2. Cook on high for 6 hours or low for 8-10 hours.
  3. Shred the pork.
  4. Assemble on your potato rolls and enjoy!

It’s that simple and it’s that delicious. Pair these beautiful Sammy’s up with a crisp Pale Ale if you’re a beer drinker, OR if you’re me, and sad about the Eagles (or any other football team who blew it on Sunday), drink a bottle of Rosè (yes straight from the bottle) while stuffing your face.

Apparently Rosè goes well with pulled pork. I believe Rosè goes well with LITERALLY EVERYTHING, but that’s just me and my wine obsession (not problem) talking.

As always, you’re welcome!
