They have been the story of the year in college football. They have been kicking ass and taking names. Big comeback wins, big blow out wins…
…They have done it all. And will continue to all season.
Last Saturday the #23 Nationally Ranked Bears hit the road again to take on rival East Stroudsburg.
ESU wasn’t going to go quietly into the night at their Homecoming game. Oh no, no, no… They would give the KU everything they could handle.
But, like they have done all season when they needed to the Golden Bear Defense stood tall, got a stop and secured a win. A huge 35-33 win to keep their special season alive and protect their 0.
Our guy Craig Reynolds… Did it again. The running back is having an outstanding season, adding to a phenomenon KU Career. The running back ran for 136 yards on 20 carries. Together him and fellow running back Hassan Neblett finished the game combining for 347 total yards. Have a day fellas!
Neblett has two receiving touchdowns of 53 and 30 yards. Reynolds scored his 30th career touchdown on a 19 yard run, which at the time stretched the Kutztown lead to 21-0. But ESU would not lay down.
Before halftime ESU would claw their way back in, scoring two TD’s and cutting the Bears lead to 21-13 heading to the locker room. With 10 minutes left in the game Kutztown would score and give themselves a 28-20 lead.
Then…
Kubears.com “Neblett delivered a back-breaking blow with his 53-yard touchdown with 8:28 left, but the Warriors continued to fight. ESU scored touchdowns with 5:07 left and with 45 seconds remaining, pulling within two to set the stage for the dramatic two-point conversion attempt.”
A two point conversion that defense would deny and Kutztown would be victorious.
Kubears.com “Kutztown offense rolled up 547 total yards, rushing and passing for over 200 yards for the third time this season. 10 different Golden Bears caught passes in the game, making it three straight games that KU has had double-digit pass-catchers.”
QB Collin DiGalbo had another stellar game for KU. He went 26-39 for 344 yards and 4 touchdowns. Another PSAC Offensive Player of the Week Award.
No. 23 @KUBearsFootball continues its streak of five straight game-weeks with a PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week! Congrats to Collin DiGalbo, who passed for a season-high 344 yards and 4 TDs at ESU. // #GoBearsGo pic.twitter.com/WQpdLFU4N2

The defense forced two ESU turnovers and Shawn Turber-Ortiz led the way with 11 tackles, 9 of which were solo.
Kutztown has moved up 4 spots nationally and now sits at number 19. The Bears are rolling and look to keep it going back at home in Andre Reed Stadium on Saturday.
And… It’s Homecoming.
