Patch.com – Topgolf is reportedly considering opening up a new King of Prussia location.
The chain which combines indoor driving ranges, lessons, competitions, and restaurants is looking at a spot on Gulph Road, according to recent reports in Montco.Today and the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The location has been the headquarters of American Baptist Churches USA.
The new spot has not been confirmed, and there is at least one other location, on Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia, that is also under consideration.
Topgolf’s typical layout is a three-story building with space for large gatherings and parties, according to reports. A recently opened location in Mount Laurel, New Jersey reportedly brought 500 new jobs to the area.
About damn time!!! I, and I’m sure the whole Delaware Valley, have been waiting forever for a Topgolf to come to the Philly area. Topgolf has been inching closer, with the Mount Laurel location, but I’m not about to drive across the river to swing some sticks. Before that location, the closest was Virginia or a trip out to Pittsburgh. So with a location coming to King of Prussia, I will be a frequent patron. If you’ve never been to a Topgolf, I highly recommend making a trip to one.
The point of the driving range is to get your ball (which a microchip tracks for you) in the various sized colored nets. They have a number of games you can play, personal favor is ‘TOPDRIVE’, my inner John Daly comes out. Clubs are provided, or if you’re a hardo, you can bring your own.
Even if you don’t wanna take some swings, there’s plenty of other things you can do.
Post up at the bar?
Hang and grab food? (the food is very good)
Do some mini golf instead?
CEO Joe wants to hold a Branded Sports meeting?
It’s a pretty solid idea for a date. It’s the millennial equivalent of going to the movies, only Topgolf is more entertaining than hoping your tinder date yanks your junk in a dark room.
Also, you get those drunk assholes who had one too many.
Long time coming, Thank You Topgolf.
