You thought I was done talking about Michael Kopech? NAH!
In my continued celebration of the future Sox legend, I wanted to take a second to honor the GF of Michael Kopech, Vanessa Morgan. Who is this lady clutched to the side of the next of White Sox great? Continue reading for a few things on the woman behind Hercules, perhaps the future Mrs. Kopech (no ring yet).
1. She’s an actress on Riverdale
Morgan is primarily known for playing the role of Toni Topaz on the CW teen drama, Riverdale, a series based on Archie Comics. I’ve never watched the show because I’m not 13, but it is insanely popular as well as a binge-favorite for middle schoolers and a guilty pleasure for adults who don’t want to grow up on Netflix. She also starred as Beatrix “Bird” Castro on MTV’s Finding Carter, another teen-series-that-I-do-not-watch.
2. She is B-E-A-UTIFUL
Yep, Morgan is pretty damn beautiful. ‘Nuff said.
3. She’s way more popular than her boyfriend right now
Now, I may have not heard of Vanessa Morgan until recently, but I’m not one of the many teens and tween Riverdale fans who follow the Canadian on social media. She has 3.5 MILLION Instagram followers and her page is Like City. Kopech currently sits at 205,000 Instagram followers, but his stardom will be shining before we know it, especially when the Sox win the World Series in 2020. Yep, I said it again.
4. She’s a Cougar (well, sort of)
Morgan is a tiny but mighty woman. At first glance though, I thought she was Kopech’s age, if not younger. Damn, was I wrong – she’s 26 years old, four years the elder of Kopech, who is 22.
Perhaps Kopech wanted a lady who was a bit wiser after dating 21 year old ‘youngin, Brielle Biermann, cast member of Don’t Be Tardy on Bravo. Plus, her parents probably weren’t too happy when Kopech flat out disagreed with them while making an appearance on THEIR show. Check out this clip of him asking Brielle to move in while they were dating – LOL that this girl thought she only saw Kopech for 30 days a year…
5. She’s a TRUE ride or die
— Vanessa Morgan (@VanessaMorgan) August 20, 2018
The best thing about Morgan? She’s already a ride or die for her man. She took time out of her busy schedule to go to Hercules’ debut, was on the flight that brought him to Chicago and was at the game. If that doesn’t scream true love, I don’t know what does.
Welcome to Chicago, Vanessa! We hope to see you more at Guaranteed Rate Field, formerly known as U.S. Cellular Field, also formerly known as Comiskey Park, aka Sox Park.
