Puke-Worthy Eagles Billboard to Go Up Near Gillette

Listen, I’m all for some good fun and light-hearted jabs between fanbases. It’s what makes sports as fun and exciting as they are. Who cares about sports and doesn’t like rubbing in a good win against your buddy’s team? Nobody.

But there are so many problems with this billboard.

First, let’s shout out the creator who literally can’t spell ‘damn’.

This is the ugliest billboard ever designed. It took me about 20 minutes to understand the numbers on either jersey were the score of the Super Bowl. That may have a little to do with my stupidity, but it has more to do with the chicken-scratch style of crayon drawing used to create this offensive material.

They then added words in the background because they weren’t creative enough to draw anything else. What the modern-day Dickens came up with was “No one likes us and we don’t care”.

First of all, you do care if you put it on a billboard. Second, nobody hates the Eagles, they hate people from Philly. The Eagles were certainly the least hated team in the Super Bowl.

In case that wasn’t confusing enough, the “artist” of this billboard thought to themselves ‘Damn, everything looks pretty good, but we need something in the middle’. At that very moment, in the distance, there is a group of drunken Philly clowns chanting E-A-G-L-E-S heading to the bar for $2.50 PBR cans. Then, and only then, the “artist” knows what he needs to do for the centerpiece of this billboard.

A dog in a mariachi band.

Now I know what you’re thinking. It’s brilliant. In another setting, different context, a dog dressed like he’s leading a mariachi band would be internet gold and, quite frankly, adorable.

On a billboard designed to bother Pats fans, this was a swing and a miss.

There is a larger problem here that has nothing to do with the pathetic appearance of this billboard.

The state of Massachusetts has a mole. Who the hell allowed this bullshit to be plastered on Mass highway skies? I need names. I don’t care if you aren’t a sports fan, or even an Eagles fan, working for the state that approved this. There is no excuse.

Tom Brady and the Patriots have earned the respect to not have to be subjected to this embarrassing billboard.

For so many reasons, just make this thing disappear.
