It’s no secret, Philadelphia LOVES Chase Utley and for good reason. He is like the city’s favorite son. He played hard, helped bring a championship to Philly and is handsome AF. Last night when Chase stepped up to the plate for what is going to be his last series ever at Citizens Bank, Philly let me hear it.
Now batting, number twenty-six, second baseman, Chase Utley!
A tremendous ovation for a tremendous athlete.

Chase knows how important he is to Philadelphia sports history and he even went out of his way to make sure this moment was possible by announcing his retirement mid-season.
Chase Utley admitted it was no coincidence he announced this was his last year before he came to Philadelphia: “I thought it was important to let Phillies fans know how I felt about them and have one last chance to play in this ballpark.”

We don’t deserve you Chase!!! It’s been 10 years since the 08′ Phillies won the World Series. They were a group of guys that put together one of the most entertaining and successful runs in Philly sports history. I’m getting ready to become a father, I’m more emotional than normal so I can’t handle Chase retiring. It’s too much for me. Now I’m going to get lost in a rabbit hole of Chase and Phillies highlights.
